A Halloween party game with endless possibilities, this Poke-a-Pumpkin activity is perfect to play with guests of all ages. The game is simple: Poke a pumpkin, get a treat — or maybe it’s a trick! Fill your cups with Hershey Halloween candy, small Halloween prizes or mystery gifts.
Grab a rectangular box (this one is 22” x 16” x 8”) and tape it closed. On the bottom of the box, measure holes for cups spaced evenly apart. Trace circles slightly smaller than the diameter of the top of the cup, about 3 ½ inches wide.
Cut out the holes using a utility knife or craft knife. (These don’t need to be perfect — you’ll cover up any flaws!)
Paint your box black on all sides and allow it to dry.
Meanwhile, cut square pieces of tissue paper to cover the cups. Using this printable Pumpkin Face Stencil and a black marker, trace the faces onto the paper.
Fill each cup with candy and/or prizes and wrap the tissue paper around the top. Secure with a rubber band.
Put each cup into the hole, tucking in the excess tissue paper. Add a stem and vine accents above each pumpkin using green paint.
There are endless options for what you put inside your pumpkins.
